Live Figure Drawing with Mike Dubisch

There’s a reason every serious art school begins with figure drawing. The human body is the ultimate subject — endlessly complex, constantly in motion, and one of the most challenging things an artist can put on paper. Learning to draw it well changes everything.
HoLA Maz is thrilled to welcome professional artist and illustrator Mike Dubisch to lead monthly immersive live figure drawing classes. Working from a live model, you’ll develop your eye and your hand through timed poses that build real skills: gesture, construction, line quality, and the fundamentals of human anatomy.
Mike’s career spans decades of professional illustration, with credits including Dungeons & Dragons, Star Wars, and Aliens vs. Predator. He brings that depth of experience directly into the classroom offering not just instruction, but genuine artistic insight.
Whether you’re picking up a pencil for the first time in years or looking to sharpen skills you already have, this class meets you where you are. All levels are welcome.
Materials not included, please bring: Sketchbook or drawing pad minimum 8″x10″ recommended , #2 pencil and/or any preferred graphite, charcoal, or ink precision drawing medium. Eraser and sharpener.
Please note that no photographing of the model during drawing sessions is allowed.
Minimum of three attendees required for this class to proceed.
