Curious about drawing digitally but not sure where to begin? This workshop introduces the basics of digital drawing in a welcoming, hands-on way. Using your own tablet, stylus, and app of choice, you’ll explore foundational drawing concepts while learning how those skills translate into a digital format.

Students will build confidence with the tools they already have, experiment with technique, and gain a better understanding of how to sketch, draw, and create in digital media. This is a great class for beginners as well as anyone looking to feel more comfortable making art on a screen.

Necessary materials: Digital tablet: iPad or Android tablet with an apple pencil or stylus, with your preferred drawing app. ProCreate highly recommended ($10 in the app store). Please ensure your device is fully charged.

About your instructor: Mike Dubisch is a professional illustrator, comic artist, and educator with decades of experience in drawing, storytelling, and imaginative world-building. His work spans comics, publishing, fantasy and horror illustration, and character design, with credits connected to properties and universes including Star Wars, Dungeons & Dragons, Aliens vs. Predator, The Wheel of Time, and the Cthulhu Mythos.
